A question I get asked a lot is how I meet my couples… how I get the business. My number one answer is always word of mouth. These word of mouth referrals are everything to me and let me explain why. I fully believe my couples are similar to me…. we are friends. We could hang out without the camera, without the wedding dress, without the timeline. So, when a past couple refers me, it’s because we had clicked and more than likely their friends have very similar personalities. I received an email from Virginia and Michael stating that Kevin and Kate passed my name a long. If you all remember, those two were so amazing to work with, be around, laugh with… I knew I had to meet their friends! So, we met up on a Sunday and scheduled their engagement session for literally 6 days later! I was so excited to see where these two would take me. We started at their apartment to meet and photograph their adorable cats. Then, Michael drove us around Alexandria to Jones Point Park, the outskirts of Old Town and finished on the water for sunset. We had the best time! You all know I love going to new spots and all of these locations were everything! We talked life, their future wedding, how they met, and the highlight – hearing about the proposal! Virginia showed me the video of Michael proposing to her on their cruise vacation and the logistics behind it were fascinating. The weather was perfect – really unheard of for July – and it just made the day that much better. Enjoy many of my favorites from their engagement session. I can’t wait for your wedding, Michael and Virginia!
Love this one! hahaha those faces! How amazing is this bridge? Gorgeous! A favorite for sure. Quick outfit change and on to the next great spot!
