Outer Banks holds a part of my heart. I am extremely fortunate and blessed to have spent every summer of my youth at that gorgeous beach. My Nanny and Pop have owned a home there that they graciously let us all use as we wish. I had dreams of photographing a wedding in that salt air and a few years ago Johann and Sam made those dreams come true. Then, Stefanie and Matt contacted me. They were getting married in the Outer Banks and was considering me to capture their big day! I could hardly contain my excitement when they did choose me. I was heading back to a place I love with a seriously amazing couple!
I can’t believe it finally happened! I feel like it’s been years since I booked with Stef and Matt. I’ve been counting the weekends until I could travel back to that beautiful town… and I’m just the photographer! Imagine how they felt! Well, the day finally came and it was nothing short of amazing. I love the calmness of a beach wedding. The bride and groom getting ready at separate rental houses with their families… just soaking up the sunshine… And once ceremony time rolls around, you kick off your shoes and hit the beach. OBX is such an amazing backdrop with it’s crashing waves and off-white sand. Stef and Matt were fortunate enough to have many of their family and friends make the trip to see them say ‘I do’. With a Carolina breeze blowing and the sun shinning at all the right times, they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Conners! It was just beautiful!
I’m pretty sure I am over sharing these photos but…. I just loved them all so much! A big thank you to Megan of Megan Lorraine Photography for being my amazing second shooter that day! I hope you’re having a blast in Jamaica, Stefanie and Matt!
