Sarah & Russell

I can’t believe I’m writing this post. Last time I checked we were still playing soccer in the backyard, taking trips to Funland and meeting for CiCi’s Pizza every Wednesday night. Where has all the time gone? Last Saturday I had the privilege of photographing my step brother Russell’s wedding to his beautiful bride Sarah.  I still remember the day I met Sarah. It was at our annual Culberson oyster fest and in true Russell fashion he casually mentioned to his dad and my mom “Oh hey, I’m going to be bringing my girlfriend”. So, when Sarah showed up we were all sure to let her know we had no idea she existed haha.  She laughed it up, shook her head at Russell and from that moment she fit in like a glove. Amongst all these boys it’s really exciting to add another girl to the bunch. I have really enjoyed getting to know Sarah over the past couple years. She has become such a great friend and a great partner to Russell. She truly has made him more outgoing. Well, the big day finally arrived! It seems like yesterday Russell asked me to photograph his proposal to Sarah. As soon as she said yes she instantly called her parents. The wedding was a great time for me to get to know Sarah’s family and her best girls. Her parents were so sweet, her brother was hilarious and I’m pretty sure I want her sister to be my new best friend.  Their bond was so fun to watch. It’s awesome to know Russell is now officially a part of it! The wedding was just beautiful. They turned the Silk Mill into such an awesome space! Sarah’s aunt did a beautiful job on the reception flowers and all the DIY elements were perfect. After months of planning, it was so wonderful to see it all finally come together. Huge thank you to Sara of Wolfcrest Photography for being my right-hand that day. With her help I was able to spend a great evening with my family. Enjoy some of my favorites below! Congratulations Russell and Sarah! I’m so excited you’re now officially  part of this crazy fam!
