I can’t believe it’s been a year! I know everyone says that… but really, woah! 365 days ago I was patiently waiting off to the side of the delivery room, camera in hand, while my cousin Lindsay was working HARD on bringing her baby boy into the world.  That girl really WORKED! Whew!  After 24 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing, Mekai entered the world.  I knew that boy would be loved but, no one knew it would be this much…

Lindsay was the first to have a baby in my family. (Well, that I was around all the time).  I already spent a ton of time at their house (sometimes I swear I should just have a room) but I found myself over there constantly.  I just couldn’t get enough of that little guy!  If a week went by, it was far too long.  Watching him grow this past year has been so fun. This kid smiles 95% of the time (let’s be real… no kid is always happy).  He brings so much joy, happiness and love to the lives he’s in…

So, a year went by just like that and it was time for his first birthday!  Naturally, a week prior, we set up a little photo shoot.  Lindsay made his balloon and ribbon backdrop and we let him go to town! If only he couldn’t walk…it might of gone smoother lol  (more power to kid photographers! whew!)  My camera was also in hand party day!  Lindsay and I pulled together a Panda themed party and it was a blast.  It was so much fun to see how loved that kid is.  He smiled the WHOLE day.
