Remember Adam and Sarah? The wedding I went on and on about my cousins and how close we were? Well, that was my dad’s side of the family.  Same rings true to my mom’s side. I am incredibly blessed and thankful both my parents come from large families.  My mom is so close to her siblings, in turn, my cousins and I were basically raised together. We attended every birthday party, every holiday, every random shopping trip, game nights with my grandparent’s, etc.  There are a lot of us… and in this post you get to meet Nicole! I don’t know if I can put into words how great our Colie is.  I have the fondest memories of coloring contests in her basement, Gem, Backstreet Boys concerts, a NYC trip with my grandparents to see the Rockettes, concession stands at their neighborhood yard sale, and much more.  This, clearly, was our younger days.  Now, we’re all grown up and still as close as ever.  Our activities might not revolve around coloring contests anymore, but, the bond is still there.  Nicole is a beautiful, smart, kind, organized, hard working, driven, amazing, AMAZING woman…  It’s really no wonder Dan fell in love with her.  After many years of dating and attending a lot of family functions, Dan didn’t run away from ALL of us.  If he survived dinners with the Scichilone crew, we knew he was a keeper!  Dan is an awesome guy and comes from an equally amazing set of friends and family.  After Dan asked Nicole to marry him (finally!) we were all so excited and we quickly set up an engagement session at Virginia Tech! It was FREEZING, but, they rocked it anyway.  Nicole and Dan both attended VT and that school means a lot to them both. Only for those two would I stand in 18 degree weather for 3 hours!  I had never been to Virginia Tech.  They gave me a full on tour of the very large and very beautiful campus! Quite different from my days at Old Dominion haha. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement.  Congratulations Colie and Dan!!! Can’t wait for your wedding day!!! Love you both!
