Confession. I’ve photographed a few couples who tell me their story about meeting in the medical field. It’s usually something along the lines of he’s a doctor, she’s a nurse or employee and they met at the hospital. INSTANTLY I think of Grey’s Anatomy. I can’t help it. Shonda Rhimes has burned Meredith Grey, Doctor Mr. Dreamy and the whole Seattle Grace turned Grey-Sloane Memorial crew in my mind.  But, it’s not reality of course… (and thank goodness for that).  Meaghan and Mike met while working alongside at VCU. He’s a doctor and she’s a nurse.  I would attempt to tell you what procedure they were doing their first interaction but let’s be real, I would totally get it wrong.  Let’s just say Mike told me he saw Meaghan and thought ‘She’s beautiful…I should ask her out!’  I absolutely fell in love with these two! Their laid back personalities and constant laughter was a true comfort during their session. With fear of thunderstorms, they trusted my judgement of moving the session up to late morning.  It was definitely the right call. We had just enough cloud coverage and sun at all the right times to pull off a gorgeous engagement session.  Meaghan and Mike are getting married right in the heart of Richmond next year and I am SO excited I get to photograph it.  Enjoy some of my favorites!
