I’m back! I took all of December off to regroup, spend the holiday’s with my family and BUY A HOUSE! What?! More on this never ending project to come! I picked my camera back up for my first engagement session of 2012. It was with Kristen and Rob – an amazing couple! Here’s my backstory on how I know these love birds.
Kristen and I share this common bond of Josh Groban. We saw him in concert. Yes, that’s right. Live on stage – curly locks and all. Her mom and step dad had an extra pair of tickets sooo, why not, right?! I specifically remember laughing the whole way to the concert, sharing a laugh when her momma cried during one of his songs, and laughing again the whole way home. And I know we weren’t laughing at my jokes. She’s hilarious. I worked for Kristen’s parents for years and years at their flower shop, Thompson’s Florist. I spent my high school days cleaning flowers, answering phones, helping customers and dodging flying flower stems and the infamous squirt bottle (thanks, Mr. Ross…) And when college breaks came, I was welcomed back without a blink of an eye. I was so thankful for the job they gave me. SO, when I was asked to photograph Kristen’s wedding I was SOOO excited. After some pretty disappointing scheduling conflicts, I now can’t shoot her wedding. Major, major bummer! However, the second best thing would be her engagement session – so here it is! I spent the afternoon catching up with Kristen and meeting her wonderful fiance Rob. They climbed hay bales for me… I love them for that. Kristen and Rob, it was an honor to photograph your engagement session! I hope your wedding day is everything you dreamt of and more!
Seriously?! Those eyes! Ah!
Oh, I would love to shoot their wedding! How cute are they?!
Outfit and location change!
They climbed up there for me. So worth it!
Thank you again, Kristen and Rob!
I love the hay bale photos! Awesome idea!
Great job Carley! 🙂
