Wedding season is in full swing! FINALLY back to this blog and it felt amazing to kick off my 2018 with Kaylan and Ray. Ever since their engagement session, I’ve been ecstatic for their big day. Kaylan had told me about the beautiful venue, her love for succulents, the great party they would have… all of those things finally came to life. The weather forecast wasn’t looking great all week. Internet, I’m not going to lie to you – I was sad. Real sad. I wanted Ray and Kaylan to have their dream ceremony on the lawn of Brandy Hill. I wanted more than anything for them to have a chance to roam the property freely for portraits. I knew they were always up for an adventure and I knew whatever came their way they would just roll with it. BUT, we all woke up Saturday morning, checked the forecast… and it was gone! Miracles do happen, ya’ll. No rain came our way, the most gorgeous overcast skies provided the best light. Kaylan was a ball of nerves before seeing Ray. I was 100% confident her tears would stop when she saw him. I was right. That’s another plus of a first look, folks. As soon as Ray turned around, a weight was lifted from Kaylan’s shoulders. Her best friend was finally there in front of her and they were ready to get the show on the road. After a beautiful ceremony and some portrait time, the newlyweds danced the night away under the most gorgeous twinkle lights strung across the Brandy Hill Farm barn. With personal touches of Star Wars for Ray, stunning succulents for Kaylan and all the love of their friends and family in the room, it was such a fun reception! I was honored to start my 2018 season off with these two! Congratulations, Kaylan and Ray! I hope you’re having the time of your life in Florida! Thank you SO much to Sara of Wolfcrest Photography for being an amazing second shooter. Enjoy some of my favorites below!
This ring. STUNNING. Brandy Hill Farm provided such a gorgeous rustic feel. Do you all recognize that pretty girl on the left?! Kaylan’s sister Sam was a past bride of mine!
The cutest moments of the day! First look time! And just like that, Ray calmed Kaylan down. Love! GORGEOUS! Honorary groomsman photobombing this shot. haha
Sister love. When your bestie finds a four leaf clover the first second she’s in the field – it’s going to be a great day. How adorable is the flower girl?! So cute. Ceremony. Married! Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.! Kaylan wanted to go back to the entrance with the dirt road. I did not argue. Pure happiness.
Loved this sweetheard table! Lightsaber entrance! Kaylan’s dad gave such a great toast. And because Mom never gets her own dance – Kaylan made sure she did! Party time! Late night snack bar.
Congratulations Kaylan and Ray!
