I knew from the moment I met Joy and Mike their wedding was going to be full of smiles, laughter and love.  They were beaming from ear to ear while talking to me, they giggled at each other when I asked questions about their big day and when they told me about their wedding party and plans, I knew love was going to fill the venue. I walked into the “getting ready”space and that laugh I had remembered was coming from the hair and makeup chair. Joy was so excited and so ready. I was wrapping up my details down the hallway before Joy got into her dress and I heard her say to her sister with a giggle “I’m SO happy!” and they shared a big hug. That’s what it’s all about everyone. After all the planning, the tastings, the headaches, the stress…. it’s about being happy and marrying the love of your life. Joy and Mike have been together for a long time but at their own pace, they said ‘I Do’ in front of a church full of their loved ones. Despite the overcast skies and a little rain, it was a truly beautiful day.  Mike and Joy’s love and laughter was contagious and it made it all that more special.
