Jamie & Scotty | Seacobeck Hall Wedding

Weddings

It stormed really, really bad Friday night. So that’s what I was told. I was in the movies and completely oblivious to what mother nature had just done outside. Apparently she did some serious damage to Fredericksburg. Power out everywhere, trees down everywhere. I got a text from Jamie early Saturday morning. She didn’t know if her hair salon had power… she didn’t know if the Marriott she was supposed to get ready in had power… and she didn’t know the condition of the church. I just told her to keep me posted and I’ll be wherever she was when she needed me. I arrived early to Seacobeck Hall to scope it out. First thing I saw was big tree down right in front of where guests could enter. When Jamie arrived to put her dress on… she was beyond calm and cool. She really didn’t care anymore. And it wasn’t that she didn’t care about her wedding… it’s that she didn’t care about the small stuff anymore. She wanted to see Scotty, say I do, and begin their life together. Tree down – who cares? St. Mary’s had some flooding that morning – who cares? It was 100 degrees that day – who cares? She was marrying her soulmate at 2 o’clock no matter what.

I met Scotty for their first look and he was so, so ready to see Jamie. I know all of Jamie’s stress just faded when she saw Scotty. The church was cleaned up. The tree in front of Seacobeck was gone. Their reception hall provided some relief from the heat. Everything worked out for Jamie and Scotty… just as they deserved. It was a beautiful day and I was beyond honored to capture their wedding. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Fitch! I hope you are having a BLAST on your honeymoon! Enjoy my favorites!
