Norfolk will always hold a place in my heart. After living there for 4 years and getting my degree from ODU… I had a hard time leaving the area. Not everyone loves it but, I did. 2 of my very close friends still live in the 757 so whenever a bride asks if I travel to Hampton Roads to shoot, I get very excited and always say yes! Ashley and Matt booked me way over a year ago and a long while had passed since I had shot their engagement session. So, when the wedding day rolled around, it felt like FOREVER since I had seen them. But, just as I remembered from their DC engagement shoot, they were as sweet as ever! Not just with me but, with each other! A ‘first look’, plenty of time, gorgeous summer weather and light, zero complaints and up for anything (heat and all)… Ashley and Matt had the perfect day. They chose the Half Moone Cruise as their wedding venue. The gorgeous glass room was the perfect backdrop for the their nautical wedding. After saying ‘I do’ their friends and family enjoyed cocktail hour on the balcony overlooking the water while the wedding party and I took some more photos. We braved floating docks and raced a little storm that was brewing in the distance… but, like I said, Ashley, Matt and their best friends were as sweet as ever and made the day so easy. Enjoy some of my many, many favorites below! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs.!
