Kate & Kevin

This day. I’ve been waiting for what feels like forever. 365 days plus have passed since their engagement session!  I clicked instantly with these two the moment we met and I had been so looking forward to their wedding day. You know how I’ve said my couples become my friends? Kate and Kevin are the perfect example.  K-squared are many things. First, they are hilarious. Both of them had me cracking up from start to finish.  Not only did they have everyone around them laughing, they were laughing with each other basically the whole day. That’s refreshing.  Second, they are kind. Kate assembled what she called a ‘dream team’ of vendors. Kevin and Kate were so grateful, so trustworthy, and so thankful to each and every one of us it made the whole day feel like anything but a job.  I feel like I could go on and on about their traits but lastly I will say they are perfect for each other. Kevin and Kate shared their ‘love story’ (a special Eric Herod touch) with the whole reception. Everyone got to hear the hilarious tale of how these two met over a gym debt (amount owed still not confirmed). But beyond how funny that story is, they both said in their own way how together, they are balanced. Kate is just the right amount of serious for Kevin and Kevin is just the right amount of calm for Kate.  They enjoy their time together most no matter what they’re doing.

Their day was beautiful.  Rain had been lingering in the forecast for quite a few days. It would come and go. That Weather Channel app would literally change every 5 minutes so I just stopped looking. Kate and Kevin had planned for a first look. It really was a great decision. We knocked out all of their portraits and the wedding party photos before the ceremony. Just as we finished…. the clouds opened up! It rained hard for about 15 minutes but no one cared! They were safe and sound waiting for guests to arrive and to say ‘I do’.  The rain cleared, the sun came out and I must say it was the perfect chain of events for the most perfect day.  Kate and Kevin, I wish you both a lifetime of the laughter, kindness and love you both share. It was an honor, friends! Enjoy some of my many favorites from their amazing day!

 I was in detail heaven!

The pictures are absolutely gorgeous. You did an amazing job. The wedding was amazing and I love my nephew and Kate so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better day to have a wedding. Congratulations to Kevin and Kate, to the wedding party and to the parents of the bride and groom.
