Ah, the wonderful pattern of plaid. I wear it often…possibly too much. (I get made fun of for this. My closet looks like the My Chemical Romance performance on Glee. Truth). I knew 100% that had be in my brand. Sooooooo tell me why I made 2 totally completely different looks before I came to this one?! Ugh. I blame college. Confession – I have a degree in graphic design. I spend 40 hours a week working on other peoples designs and looks. In college we would have 4 week long deadlines. I would make something. Hate it. Re-work it. Look at my peers work. Really hate-it. Re-work it. Kind of like it. Re-work it. Think I love it. Tweak-it. Then my deadline was up. Because of that crazy length of time, I really struggled to meet deadlines when I got my first full time job out of school. What? You mean I can’t sit with my laptop in my bed designing this brochure until 3 in the morning? I’ve gotten a lot better (…at least I think I have). When it came to my own personal look – I just couldn’t get it right. I tried. And tried. The last look I made was SO far off. I mean bad. Only a choice few saw it and I knew by their reactions it wasn’t all that. Well, FINALLY I got it right. I spent a whole weekend (lame?) reworking the site. All I was lacking were some pictures of myself. Being on the other side of the camera is so not my thing. Not by myself anyway. But, I knew if I would be comfortable with someone it would be my cousin Lindsay. She’s the sister I never had and I love her to pieces. Today, she took some pictures of me and I attempted to do what I tell my clients to do all the time. It’s really not that easy. Definite lesson learned. Well, here it is. My new look. I love it and I hope you all will too. And what’s a post without some pictures? You know if I’m with Linny, Nallah girl would be around!
She loves lip gloss.
